grow up and be strong?
It requires a hungry heart that
seeks and soaks up
God's grace and truth.
It demands a rooted will that
faithfully presses deep through
dark and arid times.
People seeing the surface
might claim that
nothing is happening
and you might be inclined to agree -
until the dry winds blow and
you flourish and flower
drawing from God's river of Living Water
running pure and deep,
lifting high and beautiful.
