disguised by some
deceit of soul
designed to guard our
warts, wounds and selfish wants
from omniscient eyes?
Do we think it possible to
enter Your presence
protected or prettied up
by pretense?
Forgive us Holy One!
Humbly we lift unveiled faces
to heaven's mercy and grace
to be made radiant in
Christ's glorious likeness
